In a viral video, Vinod Kambli was seen walking slowly with two people assisting him as he walked towards the podium to collect his award.

Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli was present at the 50th-anniversary celebration of Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which was organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association. He was present for the first time after being released from the hospital, battling serious illness. He was greeted warmly by two former cricketers of India in Sanjay Manjrekar and Wasim Jaffer.

In a viral video, Kambli was seen walking slowly with two people assisting him as he walked towards the podium to collect his award. On his way, he can be seen paying tributes to cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar by touching his feet and taking a photo with him, smiling.

A year ago, this 52-year-old man went through many health issues. Among them was the heart attack in 2013 and two surgeries on his heart. He is also very candid about his life with depression and alcohol. However, Kambli’s health worsened during December 2024 when he was hospitalized for brain clots, which caused quite a stir in the fans. He, however, posted his recovery on social media.
