India's star players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are all set to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy which is starting from December 24. The two senior players feature exclusively in the 50-over format and fans always have very less chance to watch them compete at the domestic level.
Their participation comes after BCCI introduced a new ruled which required all centrally contracted players to play at least two domestic matches during the season. The move aims to strengthen domestic cricket and ensure top international stars remain connected to the local circuit, a decision that has been welcomed by supporters across the country.

Both the batters have made a domestic comeback after a very long time - Kohli will return to Vijay Hazare Trophy after a gap of 15 years. Earlier the Delhi matches were scheduled to be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru but due to security concerns they have been shifted to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE).
Rohit Sharma on the other hand will be playing under Shardul Thakur and is all set to face Sikkim at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
