India mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy, a star performer for the Asia Cup 2025 final victory, opted for a quite cheeky method to celebrate. He posted on X (previously Twitter) a photo of himself reclining on his bed with his tea cup resting on the bedside, as well as sharing an image of his teammates hoisting an “imaginary trophy” in triumph over Pakistan.
His tweet read: “Akkha duniya ek taraf, aur mere India ek taraf. Jai Hind.” The move was a clear jibe at Pakistan and ACC head Mohsin Naqvi, since India never laid their hands on the real trophy following the chaotic post-match ceremony.

The trolling didn’t stop there. The entire Indian squad mocked Naqvi’s antics – some players relaxed on the ground scrolling through their phones while Naqvi stood awkwardly on the podium. Many also avoided collecting their individual awards or shaking hands with the ACC president, prompting him to eventually leave the stadium along with the trophy.
This wasn’t Varun Chakaravarthy’s first time poking fun at Pakistan using a tea cup. Previous in 2025, after India’s Champions Trophy win against New Zealand, the Karnataka bowler had shared an image of himself drinking coffee with the trophy by his side, captioned: “A lot of distance was travelled to get a taste of this Cup.”

Pakistan has already lost to India three times in a single tournament and despite that the ACC Chairman very disgracefully took away India’s well-deserved trophy following which his reputation was left in shatters like the Pakistan Cricket Team.
