Pursuing the target, Dehradun’s beginning was not at all impressive. Captain Yuvraj Chaudhary left early after contributing a mere 3 runs off 8 balls. The tempo changed when Sanskar Rawat stepped on to the field. He went for a rampage, hammering a whirlwind 52 off only 25 deliveries. The bowlers of Nainital appeared utterly helpless against his aggressive batting performance.
Sanskar’s Explosive Innings
Batting at number three, Sanskar was in excellent rhythm from the very start, dominating the bowlers with authority. He unleashed huge strokes across the park, playing with the opposition’s bowling attack. His 52-run innings consisted of 4 fours and 4 mighty sixes, made with an incredible strike rate of 208. His free-flowing batting was a treat for the spectators and also raised the spirits of the team after losing two rapid wickets with only 24 runs in hand. But, after completing his half-century, Sanskar got run out during a rapid single attempt, dashing what might have been another even larger score.
