The IPL 2026 Auction has finally concluded and all the teams are all locked in with their respective squads. Kolkata Knight Riders had the highest purse with INR 64 crores followed by the Chennai Super Kings. Both the teams made very expensive buys and KKR broke the bank by buying Cameron Green for INR 25.20 crores. Chennai Super Kings also brought in youngsters like Prashant Veer for INR 14.20 crores.
But there were a few players who went unsold and left everyone was left quite shocked.

Jamie Smith
The right-handed England batter went unsold even though it was expected that he will make the cut for the season. He has delivered consistently for England and could’ve been a great addition for any team. Hence, he will not be taking part in IPL 2026.
Deepak Hooda
The Indian batter went unsold in the IPL 2026 Auction. He had a very poor season with CSK in IPL 2025 following which he was released from the team. Overall in his IPL Career, Hooda has played 125 matches and scored 1496 runs with a strike rate of 127.64.

Jake Fraser McGurk
Jake Fraser McGurk from Australia went unsold despite delivering good performances. He was earlier a part of Delhi Capitals but then he was released by the franchise. In 15 matches he has scored 385 runs with a stunning strike rate of 199.48 but still no franchise put an opening bid for him following which he was the first player of the IPL 2026 auction to go unsold.
