Dehradun Warriors are preparing with an impressively strong batting unit, spearheaded by three top performers: Yuvraj Chaudhary, Aanjaneya Suryavanshi, and Sagar Rawat. These batsmen, known for their powerful strokeplay and increasing reputations, are bound to ignite the stage this coming season.
Yuvraj Chaudhary: The 24-year-old left-handed Haridwar boy, was the UPL 2024 MVP, smashing 322 runs from 5 matches at a strike rate of 192.81 and an average of 80.50. His highlight was a 103-run attack in the final, with 11 sixes and 5 fours, demonstrating that he could overpower more attacks. Recently signed by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 30 lakh during IPL 2025 auction, Chaudhary’s recent form captured by a 61 off 26 balls and 4/15 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is the linchpin of the Warriors. His ability to clear boundaries (27 sixes in UPL 2024) means he will be a game-changer.

Aanjaneya Suryavanshi: A 22-year-old right-arm batter from Uttar Pradesh, offers flexibility. In UPL 2024, he made 88 runs in 4 games at a strike rate of 129.41, with a high of 43. His top first-class score of 79 and List A strike rate of 151.61 reflect his flexibility across formats. Although his batting average (29.33 in UPL) indicates potential for improvement, his aggressive style and occasional off-spin make him an asset for the Warriors.
Sagar Rawat: The allrounder, brings depth. In UPL 2024, he aggregated 26 runs in 3 games at a strike rate of 144.4 with a best score of 24. His ability to score quickly makes him suitable for the role of a finisher, although he should convert starts into larger scores. Collectively, this trio holds out promise of fireworks for Dehradun Warriors in UPL 2025, combining power, promise, and potential.
