New Delhi: Team India is just two steps away from being the title winner of the T20 World Cup 2022. After securing first spot in the Group 2 Points Table, India has fixed their game against England in the semi-finals.

India is considered the most favorites to win the tournament. However, there are speculations of a player who can announce retirement after the tournament.

Dinesh Karthik may announce retirement

India wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is currently the preferred choice for the team. Rishabh Pant is not taken in Playing XI in the tournament. While Dinesh Karthik has played first four games, he hasn’t been able to do anything extra-ordinary.

Along with that, Karthik has been with the team from the first season of T20 World Cup that was held in 2007. there are rumours that he can announce this season as his last.

Just after the end of T20 World Cup, India is set to fight against New Zealand in T20I and ODI series. Karthik hasn’t been named in the squad of the any series.

Though, it can be debated that many players are being rested for that series like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. But they are called back when India will tour Bangladesh later. Whereas Dinesh Karthik is still not part of the team.
