New Delhi: A big shocker is coming from the T20 World Cup. Ireland has defeated West indies by 9 wickets which has led to the elimination of the two-time World Cup winner. Paul Stirling played a match-winning innings and scored 66 runs for Ireland.

Following this Ireland have strengthened their claim for a place in the Super 12, registering a one-sided victory by 9 wickets in Friday’s match.

Paul Stirling stood strong on the crease

West indies has won the T20 World Cup title twice in the year 2012 and 2016. This is the first time that the team was eliminated in the qualifiers. Ireland’s opener Paul Stirling played an important role in defeating West Indies.

Apart from Paul Stirling, Captain Andrew Balbirnie played an innings of 37 runs. Apart from this, Lorcan Tucker played a stormy innings of 45 runs for Ireland and played an important role in winning the team.

In the match, West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. West Indies had given Ireland a target of 147 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In response to which the Irish team achieved this victory in 17.3 overs by losing one wicket.
