Perth: South Africa has won the game in a thriller game against India in T20 World Cup. The Proteas dominated the game from the very start as they dismissed prominent players in the very start of the game.

Aiden Markram and David Miller became the savior for South Africa, both scoring half-century. India had put 133 runs and in the defense, they had tried well in the start. However, the tight position they created could not go for long and the duo of Markram-Miller went on to hurt India.

Arshdeep Singh’s efforts goes in vain

India bowler Arshdeep Singh had rose the hopes of win for India after taking early wickets of Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rosouw. Later, there were many mistakes in the fielding that has cost India this match.

Lungi Ngidi proved dangerous for India

Earlier, while batting, South Africa bowler Lungi Nagidi proved to an extremely bowler for India as he took significant wickets of Indian batters.

Nagidi scared India with early wicket of opening players. Rohit Sharma was the first target and he had sent back for 15 runs. KL Rahul followed his footsteps and went back for just 9 runs.

When India tried to recover from the early shock by sending Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav on field, Ngidi once again struck. This time to remove Virat Kohli from the way.

After the innings, Nagidi said, “I think against a team like India, you need to dismiss them to a low total, early wickets were the key for us. The height worked in our favour, some bounced a bit, it was always expected at Perth though and I’m really happy with our lengths. We knew they (Indian batters) wanted to make most of our pace, so we wanted to keep it tight and tuck them down for room, perhaps one or two got away. Pretty happy with this chase and I think we can get it if we bat well.”
