New Delhi: The United Arabs Emirates made Dutch players dance their heart out as they knock out Namibia in T20 World Cup. UAE marked win by seven runs to help Netherlands reach Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup.

What does UAE’s victory mean for Netherlands?

It was a crucial day for Netherlands as they had lost their game against Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka. Their fate and chances of qualification to T20 World Cup Super 12 depended on Namibia losing their game. However, they were the favourites to reach Super 12 stage but UAE turned the tables around by winning.

Dutch players danced to celebrate

To celebrate UAE win and their own qualification to the Super 12 stage, Dutch players collectively participated wild dance.

Muhammad Waseem, star of game, said, “”It was tough bowling at the death after so long, but I was always confident. I think the way we bowled the second-last over, we got back into the game. The plan was to keep it straight as the boundaries in front of the wicket were very long. The previous two games also we were in winning positions, we could have won them. Very happy to have won a World Cup game for the first time.”
