New Delhi: Indian bowlers have been brilliant in the first clash against Pakistan in T20 World Cup. Arshdeep Singh started the game with some early wickets of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
However, Pakistan put a stop to the falling wickets till 13th overs when Iftikhar Ahmed who garnered 51 runs. Other run-machine for Pakistan was Shan Masood who played unbeaten 52 runs.

After the innings of Pakistan, Arshdeep Singh said, “I wanted to enjoy the moment, it will never come again. The straight boundaries were big, so we tried to use it to our advantage. Tried to hit the wickets and the pads. I think we can chase this total down.”
India’s upper hand in T20 World Cup
Both the teams have faced each other 6 times in the T20 World Cup. India has won five times, while Pakistan has won one match. The Indian cricket team had lost against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup held in UAE last year under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.
In this tournament, Pakistan’s young fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is returning after injury while Mohammad has returned to Team India after recovering from Kovid. Shami has been included in India’s T20 World Cup 15-man squad as a replacement for the injured Jasprit Bumrah.
