Perth: In the second match of Super 12 in T20 World Cup, England is set to fight against Afghanistan to start the huge rivalry.
On October 21, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and Ireland managed to qualify for the Super 12 stage.
Earlier, English team had to face a big blow when Reece Topley was ruled out due to ankle injury. Acknowledging that, captain Jos Buttler said, “Everyone is champing at the bit to get going now. We’ve had some really good games leading into the tournament. We’re very ready. I think we’re a dangerous team. We’ve got a lot of talented players who can win games on their own, and that’s a huge thing in T20 cricket.”

While hailing the skills of his boys Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott said, “They’re very, very skilled in playing all around the world; certainly here in the Big Bash and for various franchises. So inside knowledge and experience of playing with or against the opposition in all of our matches is going to be crucial from those guys – and passing that on.”
