Suryakumar Yadav has been in incredible form this IPL 2025 and in every situation he has showed his brilliance. This season he has scored more than 600 runs and this is the second time he has breached the 600-run mark. The first was in 2023 when he took Mumbai Indians to Qualifier 2 with 605 runs.
This year Suryakumar has been playing fearlessly and became the top scorers of the 2025 season, currently he stands at third position in Orange cap race. In the match against Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur he brought up his fifth half-century of the season and he broke his own franchise’s record that stood strong since 2010.

He broke Sachin Tendulkar’s long-standing record as he has scored 618 runs in 2010 which was the most by any batter in Mumbai Indians in a single season. But Suryakumar Yadav overtook the legend and now has 640 runs in just 14 matches with an incredible strike rate of 168.54.
With Mumbai Indians now in the playoffs, Suryakumar Yadav will now be eyeing the 700-run mark and it is a golden opportunity for him to achieve this rare feat. Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) played match no. 69 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) following which PBKS sealed its position in the top two giving them a shot directly in the finals as well. Batting first Mumbai Indians had set the target of 184 which was led by Suryakumar Yadav’s dynamic knock of 57 runs. It is now decided that Mumbai will play the Eliminator while Punjab will be playing the Qualifier 1.
