Suresh Raina Wants Virat Kohli To Be Honoured With Bharat Ratna

Speaking to Star Sports, when Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders match did not take place due to rain, Suresh Raina mentioned that he was the perfect candidate for Bharat Ratna and this would be the best tribute for a player who took Indian cricket to a completely different level. Under his captaincy India became number one Test team for 42 months. Till now only Sachin Tendulkar is the cricketer to receive Bharat Ratna in 2014 at the age of 40. Raina further went on to appeal that BCCI should plan a farewell for Virat Kohli at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

“He Should Be Given A Retirement Match” Says Raina

“I feel the Indian government should award him the Bharat Ratna because he has achieved so many things for India,” he said.
