ODI World Cup 2023: While everyone is predicting their best squad for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) World Cup 2023, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has selected his own India squad for the ODI World Cup 2023. 

In his 15-man squad, Sanju Samson, Tilak Verma, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin have not been included.

Batsmen in Ganguli’s squad

Sourav Ganguly has named Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan for the opening. In the middle order, Ganguly selected  Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav.

3 all-rounders and 4 fast bowlers included

Sourav Ganguly has selected Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Akshar Patel as allrounder. while Kuldeep Yadav has been kept on the side of spin bowling. Ganguly’s team has the names of 4 fast bowlers Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur.

When will ODI World Cup 2023 start?

ODI World Cup 2023 is scheduled to be played in India. The ICC tournament will start from 5 October and run till 19 November. The final match is to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Team India will play its first match in the World Cup against Australia on 8 October. The second match will be against Pakistan on 14 October.
