The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has reached its conclusion after three weeks of intense cricket and two teams have made it to the final – Haryana and Jharkhand. The two teams will be playing against each other on December 18 at the MCA Stadium. Both teams have been inspired by their captains, with Ishan Kishan and Ankit Kumar delivering steady contributions with the bat throughout the tournament.
Ishan Kishan led Jharkhand has enjoyed a near perfect-run as the team has stayed unbeaten for nine matches but the winning streak came to an end after getting defeated by Andhra Pradesh. Haryana on the other hand at a very rocky route to the final, the team lost two games in the group stage as they suffered another setback against reigning champions Mumbai in the Super League. But Haryana made a strong comeback and registered a win against Hyderabad which boosted their net run rate.
