Mumbai have announced their squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy which will be starting from December 24 but former India captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal have not been named in the initial squad which has been announced.
But their exclusion doesn’t mean that they will not play, Mumbai’s committee chairman Sanjay Patil clarified that the players will be added once they are available. The Mumbai Team is led by Shardul Thakur for the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was recently hospitalised in Pune after he suffered acute gastroenteritis following Mumbai’s last Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Rajasthan. According to Patil, Jaiswal will be only considered once he cleared from the medical team. Former Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane has asked for rest due to hamstring issue.
Ishan Mulchandani has received his maiden call-up while Angkrish Raghuvanshi has retained his place. Sarfaraz Khan, who scored 329 runs in seven matches at an average of 65.80 and a strike rate above 200, has been included alongside his younger brother Musheer Khan.
