The wicket-keeper batter had fractured his foot in five-match Test series against England following which he had to take rest for months and recover. Pant came to the crease early as KL Rahul was dismissed and he started to play aggressively. He hit first three scoring shots - 4,4 and 6. But trouble striked when he faced a sharp bouncer from Tshepo Moreki which came directly hitting his helmet, Pant was left completely off balance. A concussion test was conducted by the team physio and moments later he started playing another short ball from Moreki struck on Pant's forearm.
