Hazlewood was off to a good start, bowling three successive dot balls to Jaiswal, one of them being a nasty short-pitched one that surprised the batter. But Jaiswal settled down soon, dinting his attacking intentions by striking three successive boundaries. His attacking fervor carried over to the last over of the Powerplay, where he went after Hazlewood with two additional fours and a six in the first four balls.

Josh Hazlewood Guides RCB Towards Win On Home Ground

Hazlewood finished the evening with incredible returns of 4 for 33, playing a crucial role in RCB’s close 11-run win. Rajasthan Royals, chasing 206, were held to 194 for 9 in their 20 overs, their fifth straight loss in the tournament.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 49 for RR, with Dhruv Jurel adding 47 in a valiant cause. RCB’s bowling lineup had Hazlewood ably assisted by Krunal Pandya (2/31), Yash Dayal (1/33), and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/50), who contributed to ensure a vital win for the Bengaluru team.
