As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prepare for their first-ever IPL title chase in a high-pressure encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday, a wave of conviction swept over their ardent fanbase. The classic slogan ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’, which translates as “This year, the cup is ours,” went viral once more, with chants ringing across social media platforms.
But this time around, there’s a new voice in the game that no one expected none other than global rap sensation Drake. And he’s not only emotionally invested in this evening’s final.
Global Superstar Drake Puts His Money On RCB
In an Instagram post that stormed the platform, Drake announced that he has bet a huge $750,000 on RCB to take the IPL 2025 final on Stake, one of the popular crypto-betting sites. From the screenshot posted, with a 1.75 odds chance, the Grammy winner can win $1.312 million if Rajat Patidar’s RCB beat Shreyas Iyer’s PBKS at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Drake labeled the bet slip with the now-infamous inscription “Ee sala cup namde”, joining forces with RCB’s long-suffering but perpetually hopeful fans.
