Jasprit Bumrah is currently one of the most invaluable assets in Indian cricket and he has proven himself to be one country’s greatest match-winners. But in the recent months there has been one concern about her workload and since the start of this year he hasn’t been able to play all the series. He has remained out of the ODI setup and only played Tests and T20Is. Earlier this year, Bumrah faced a back injury in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to which he had to miss Champions Trophy and half part of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Now former India head coach Ravi Shastri has given a strong opinion and took a subtle dig towards Ajit Agarkar. Shastri emphasised over how Bumrah’s workload has been managed and the need for intelligent planning for utilising the fast bowler.

“Bumrah is a dada bowler. Bumrah ko lene ke liye bhi akal hona chahiye na. (For utilising Bumrah, you need to have brains). You made him a white-ball bowler, so how has he become a red-ball bowler?” said Shastri on Prabhat Khabar.

Bumrah played only three Tests out of five of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy following which a lot of criticism poured in. Since this series, Bumrah has played almost all the international matches except for the ODI series against Australia. Currently on a break, Bumrah is set to return to the squad for the five-match T20I series against South Africa, beginning on December 9.
