Former India head coach Ravi Shastri came down heavily on those who in his opinion are trying to be an obstacle in Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s career. In the recent interview Shastri issued a clear warning to the “trouble-makers” and said that he will not be tolerating people who meddle with the reputation of India’s most senior players.
His remarks come after there were discussions over Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s ODI future after they stepped away from Tests and T20Is. Although Shastri avoided naming individuals, the intensity of his comments left little ambiguity regarding who they were aimed at.
When Shastri was asked about who is “interfering” he gave a very vague response and did not reveal the exact name. But many people have interpreted the comments were directed towards chief-selector Ajit Agarkar and the team management.
