As per a report in The Indian Express, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal will miss Mumbai’s upcoming Ranji Trophy match as they focus on preparing for the Champions Trophy. The two players have reportedly informed the BCCI about their preparations and will not be part of the squad for the match. Mumbai is set to face Meghalaya in their next Ranji encounter, which begins on January 30. The ODI series is scheduled to start on February 6th.

Rohit Sharma’s Poor Run In Ranji Trophy

Rohit played his last Ranji match 10 years ago and his return for his team Mumbai was against Jammu and Kashmir in the fifth round match, where he scored 31 runs in total in both the innings. He could score only three runs in the first innings, while in the second innings he contributed 28 runs. In this match, the team lost by five wickets despite the presence of star players. The team has to face Meghalaya in the next match on January 30.
