Rising Tennis star Radhika was shot dead by her father at their home in Gurugram Sector-57 on Thursday morning. Deepak Yadav who is accused fired five bullets at his daughter Radhika Yadav, three of which hit her while she was in the kitchen.
As per sources quoted by PTI, her father was often mocked by relatives and friends for being financially dependent on Radhika’s earnings from the academy. The belittling is said to have added fuel to his increasing frustration. Also, her active presence on social media and especially her inclination towards creating Instagram reels became another point of contention. One such reel is said to have triggered an argument after her father told her to delete it.
In a statement to police, Radhika Yadav’s uncle revealed chilling details about her killing and what he saw as soon as he rushed to the incident area. He told as soon as they heard the noise Radhika was already lying on the floor and he rushed her to the hospital immediately.

“I saw my niece Radhika Yadav lying in the kitchen and the revolver (used in the crime) was found in the drawing room,” Kuldeep said
“After that, my son Piyush Yadav also rushed to the first floor. Both of us picked up Radhika and rushed her in our car to Asia Maringo Hospital in Sector 56, Gurugram. After checking, the doctor declared my niece dead,” he added.
“My brother Deepak has a licensed 32 bore revolver. The revolver lying there belonged to him. I feel that my brother Deepak shot my niece Radhika Yadav,” he said.
“My brother Deepak also has a son, Dheeraj Yadav. Dheeraj wasn’t present there at the time of the incident. We have a rental business,” he said.
