New Delhi: Tem India has managed to sail into the semi-finals of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. This is after India won four out of five games that they have played so far.
However, India bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has not been able to perform as per the expectations and cricket legend Kapil Dev has commented on his game. Dev isn’t fully convinced with his performance and said that Ashwin has embarrassed himself in the tournament.
Kapil Dev says Ravichandran Ashwin embarrassed himself
In conversation ABP news, Kapil Dev said, “Until now, Ashwin hasn’t given me the confidence. He picked up wickets today but it didn’t look as if he got them. In fact, one or two wickets that Ashwin took in the match, he himself was embarrassed to claim those (as the ball had kept low).”
Adding to it, he said, “We can certainly say that wickets bring confidence in a bowler but Ashwin hasn’t yet been in the rhythm one expects him to.”
In the 5 matches that Ashwin has played so far, he has picked just 6 wickets and against South Africa he even conceded 43 runs. This performance has been a concerning factor for the Men in Blue and Kapil Dev highlighted in his conversation.
