PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi set to approach ICC, makes big allegation on India after U-19 Asia Cup Final

The Indian U-19 cricket team was defeated by a massive margin of 191 runs in the final match of U-19 Asia Cup 2025 held in Dubai on Sunday.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi had said that he will be taking up concerns with International Cricket Council (ICC) and has laid down big allegation against India of inappropriate conduct by its U-19 team in the Asia Cup Final in Dubai on December 21, Sunday.

The issue was first raised by Pakistan U-19 team mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed who accused the Indian team of displaying unsporting behaviour during the match. The Indian U-19 cricket team was defeated by a massive margin of 191 runs in the final match of U-19 Asia Cup 2025 held in Dubai on Sunday. After the shocking defeat the Indian Team stayed on its firm stand and decided not to shake hands with Pakistan.

Sarfaraz Ahmed who captained Pakistan towards win in Champions Trophy 2017 criticised India for its on-field action in the final and called them unethical.

“India’s behaviour during the game was not appropriate, and their conduct was against the spirit of cricket,” Sarfaraz said. “Despite that, we celebrated our victory with sportsmanship. Cricket should always be played in the right spirit; what India did reflects their own actions.”

Even when Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner for the champions, Naqvi called out India’s behaviour and mentioned that it was provocative.

“Indian players kept provoking Pakistani players during the Under-19 Asia Cup final,” Naqvi said. “Pakistan will formally inform the ICC about the incident. Politics and sports should always be kept separate.”
