The Royal Challengers Bengaluru won a crucial matchin the IPL 2025 by defeating the Punjab Kings by 7 wickets at Mullanpur, Chandigarh. Punjab Kings, batting first posted a low score of 157 on the board with none of the batters managing to create an impact. Captain Shreyas Iyer failed miserably as he was departed at mere 6 runs when he was ultimately caught by Krunal Pandya with a stunning catch. The RCB bowlers managed to restrict the batters and in second innings chase master Virat Kohli smashed 73 runs and once again displayed his prowess as a batter who can adapt according to any format of the game.
Virat Kohli was always named as the ‘Player of the Match’ following which he reflected on this year’s team and how its a perfect culmination of what they actually wanted.
