Pat Cummins: Australia Test team captain pat Cummins’s mother ‘Maria Cummins’ died after struggling with a prolonged sickness. Australian Cricket Board confirmed the news on Friday Morning through a tweet.
Cricket Australia in a tweet, just before commence of Day 2 of the ongoing fourth Test between India and Australia said, ” We are deeply saddened at the passing of Maria Cummins overnight. On behalf of Australian Cricket, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Pat, the Cummins family and their friends. The Australian Men’s team will today wear black armbands as a mark of respect.”
Pat Cummins flew back to Sydney to be with his ill mother just after completing of 2nd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Delhi last Month.
The fourth and last Test Match is being played in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Cricket Australia confirmed that Aussies would don black armbands as a mark of respect for Cummins and his family.
