Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal continue to face health emergencies following which the wedding has been postponed. This happened after Smriti’s father was taken to the hospital after he felt uneasy during breakfast and showed signs of heart attack. Another setback struck when Smriti’s fiance Palash was also taken to the hospital after he fell ill.
Initial reports indicated that Palash was taken to hospital in Sangli, Maharashtra due to viral infection and severe acidity. But now NDTV sources report that Palash has been moved to SVR Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai for further treatment. Palash’s schedule has been absolutely packed and involved frequent travel for concerts and wedding related work this left him physically drained ultimately taking a toll on his health.

Another report by Hindustan Times mentioned that Palash himself decided to postpone the wedding since he is very close to Smriti’s father. Palash Muchhal’s mother also gave an health update and mentioned that Palash is very close to Smriti’s father.
“Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father… The two of them are even closer than Smriti is with him. When he fell ill, it was Palash, before Smriti, who decided that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until he gets better,” said Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal as mentioned by Hindustan Times
“Since haldi was done, we didn’t let him go outside. Rote rote ek dum tabiyat karab ho gai. 4 ghante hospital mein rakhna padha. IV drip chadi, ECG hua aur dosre tests hoye. Sab normal aaye but stress bahut hai (He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress).”
