Earlier when India’s squad for ODI series against England and Champions Trophy was released Mohammed Siraj was dropped and not considered despite being the highest wicket-taker for India in ODIs. However, despite Mohammed Siraj’s crucial lead in charge of the pace attack, he was omitted from India’s 2025 Champions Trophy squad. Instead, the selectors decided to include the left-arm pace of Arshdeep Singh who has played only eight ODIs and now in the ODI series against England, the team went on to go forward with Harshit Rana.
