India won the Asia Cup 2025 after crushing Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 28. This was the third time India defeated Pakistan in the same tournament. But one of the major moment that stirred up controversy was that India was celebrating the win without a trophy because the ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi shamelessly ran away with it to spoil India’s celebration.
First he stole the trophy and then spilled vemon on social media. Like an apparent loser he added more fuel to the fire when he replied to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet and said: “If war was your measure of pride, history already records your humiliating defeats at Pakistan’s hands. No cricket match can rewrite that truth. Dragging war into sport only exposes desperation and disgraces the very spirit of the game.”

But one of the most ironical thing about his reply was that he himself did something so disgraceful on field but still talks about morals and ethics on social media. There was also a delay in the post-match presentation and when the Pakistani players turned up to receive their awards, they also shamelessly threw the cheques away. India had already refused to take the trophy from Naqvi and after that his act was absolutely disgraceful but that didn’t stop India from celebrating though.
Talking about the match, Pakistan had no chance in front of India, the Men in Blue easily chased the target of 146 with Tilak Varma being India’s star performer.
