New Delhi: South Africa bowler Lungi Nagidi proved to an exteremly bowler for India as he took significant wickets of Indian batters.
Nagidi scared India with early wicket of opening players. Rohit Sharma was the first target and he had sent back for 15 runs. KL Rahul followed his footsteps and went back for just 9 runs.
When India tried to recover from the early shock by sending Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav on field, Ngidi once again struck. This time to remove Virat Kohli from the way.
After the innings, Nagidi said, “I think against a team like India, you need to dismiss them to a low total, early wickets were the key for us. The height worked in our favour, some bounced a bit, it was always expected at Perth though and I’m really happy with our lengths. We knew they (Indian batters) wanted to make most of our pace, so we wanted to keep it tight and tuck them down for room, perhaps one or two got away. Pretty happy with this chase and I think we can get it if we bat well.”
