KL Rahul To Be Selected For 2026 T20 World Cup? Report Makes Big Claim

KL Rahul has been in impressive form as he smashed a dashing century in match against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

KL Rahul is currently playing the IPL 2025 and having an incredible season following which he is likely to make his return in India’s T20 squad for the upcoming Bangladesh tour. The last time he appeared in T20I match was in November 2022 but in that tournament he struggled to score and managed to accumulate only 128 runs in six matches at the strike rate of 120.75.

KL Rahul To Be Included In Bangladesh Tour

According to a report by the Times of India “that it’s time to hand him a return ticket in T20Is.”, KL Rahul is expected to be included in the squad for upcoming series against Bangladesh in August. The series will focus three ODIs and three T20Is. The tour will also serve as a very important part of India’s T20 World Cup preparations. If Rahul performs well then it is quite likely that he will get a spot in the upcoming World Cup.

Bangladesh Tour: A Prep For 2026 T20 World Cup

The Bangladesh tour will be India’s penultimate chance to groom their T20I side for the 2026 T20 World Cup, and Rahul’s performance in this series will be pivotal. If he performs well, it would book his seat in the team for the next ICC T20 tournament, which would be his return after four years.

KL Rahul’s Century In DC Vs GT Match

KL Rahul has been in impressive form as he smashed a dashing century in match against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. He remained unbeaten and managed to score 112 in 65 deliveries with a strike rate of 172.31. In his knock he struck 14 fours and four sixes. Despite his powerful knock Delhi Capitals could not register a win.
