India and England will be playing five-match T20I series in Kolkata starting January 22. England’s white-ball captain Jos Buttler mentioned about the new-guidelines recently issued by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
BCCI Issues Strict Guidelines For Players
These guidelines include mandatory domestic cricket, family travel, restrictions on personal staff and more. These were issues prior to the England series and due to India’s poor show in Test series against New Zealand and Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Jos Buttler Speaks On The Need Of Family On Tours
Jos Buttler highlighted on one key guideline which concerned family travel and emphasized on how essential it is for players to have family by their side on tours. The new updated policy from BCCI allows players to have their families accompany them for upto 14 days in extended tours lasting more than 45 days. Jos Buttler expressed that families do not interfere in anything related to professional responsibilities.
“That’s a loaded question, isn’t it? I think it’s important. We live in a day and age now, which is a very modern world, and I think it’s great to be able to have families on the tour with you and try and enjoy that,” Buttler told during the press conference

Family “Really Important”
“I think it’s something that is very manageable. Personally, from my point of view, I think it’s really important to try and be able to share that with your family and lighten the load on being away from home,” he said.
