In this match, opening batsman Pathum Nishanka has been dropped from Sri Lanka’s team. Meanwhile, no changes have been made in Ireland.

Ireland consistently lost wickets

After winning the toss, Ireland chose to bat first. The team lost two wickets in the beginning itself. Following this the decorated Irish player from the previous match, Paul Stirling tried to handle the situation. But he could not stand on the crease past the 9th over. Once Stirling was sent back to pavilion, Harry Tractor came to bat and scored 45 runs.

Sri Lankan bowlers did wonders

On the other hand, the bowlers of the Sri Lankan team kept building the pressure on team Ireland from the start of the match. Bowlers Mahesh Thikshana and Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets each.
