Ireland consistently lost wickets
After winning the toss, Ireland chose to bat first. The team lost two wickets in the beginning itself. Following this the decorated Irish player from the previous match, Paul Stirling tried to handle the situation. But he could not stand on the crease past the 9th over. Once Stirling was sent back to pavilion, Harry Tractor came to bat and scored 45 runs.
Sri Lankan bowlers did wonders
On the other hand, the bowlers of the Sri Lankan team kept building the pressure on team Ireland from the start of the match. Bowlers Mahesh Thikshana and Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets each.

Ireland has made a great comeback in the World Cup
In this world, Ireland was a bit staggered in the beginning, but has made a strong comeback in this team after. After losing their first match against Zimbabwe in the Qualifier match, Ireland’s comeback seemed impossible, but the team performed well and made it to the Super 12. This team made it to the Super-12 by defeating two-time World Cup champion West Indies in the first match and Scotland in the second match.
