Lucknow Super Giants faced defeat against Delhi Capitals on their home ground Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. KL Rahul demonstrated his prowess for Delhi Capitals by hitting 57 runs during his 42-ball innings. The team foundation for victory was established by opener Abhishek Porel with his excellent batting performance. For Lucknow the batting order collapsed and only the openers could get in runs. Captain Rishabh Pant proved to be disappointing yet again after he was dismissed for a duck.
