The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has taken few bold decision ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. One of the biggest trade that was in spotlight was of Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson following which now the franchise has released another star player.
Devon Conway has confirmed that he will no more be a part of Chennai Super Kings just ahead of the IPL 2026 retention. He was a part of the team for the last three years and after an average last season he has now been released.

Conway gained spotlight in his debut and quickly became a crucial part of CSK’s batting lineup. He scored 252 runs in just seven matches with an impressive average of 42 and a strike rate of 145.66. He was in his best form in 2023 season where he finished as the top-run scorers of the tournament with 672 runs with an average of 51.69. He missed the 2024 season and in 2025, Conway could only score 156 runs with an average of 51.69.
The former CSK batter thanked everyone for the support as he shared a heartfelt post on his social media.

CSK won the IPL in 2023 and Conway played a very crucial role throughout the season. Even in the final he scored 47 runs off 25 balls which provided the team a great momentum, helping his team claim the title. Over his three years with CSK, Conway featured in 29 matches, amassing 1080 runs at an average of 43.20 and a strike rate of 139.72.
