Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan who is known to be one of the most prolific performers in the domestic arena but he has failed to find a buyer once again. He went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction and now the same story repeated in the IPL 2026 auction which is being held in Abu Dhabi.
Sarfaraz first caught national attention at just 12 years of age when he smashed 439 runs in his debut Harris Shield match. He has been trained under the guidance of his father Naushad Khan – following which Sarfaraz made his debut in first-class cricket in 2014. He was also a star performer in the Under-19 World Cup and was the top performer with seven half-centuries.

Sarfaraz Khan also got his first Indian Test cap in February 2024 against England after which he delivered stunning performances as he smashed two half-centuries in the very first match. Later on, he scored his maiden Test hundred against New Zealand even though India faced a defeat with complete 3-0 whitewash at home.

The Indian batter made his IPL debut in 2015 when he first played for RCB where he became the youngest batter to play the tournament at the age of 17. In 2019 and 2021 he represented Punjab Kings and he also played for Delhi Capitals in 2022 and 2023. Across nearly 50 IPL matches, he scored close to 585 runs, averaging around 22 with a strike rate exceeding 130.
