Indian wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson opened up on Wednesday about the ongoing speculation that has been surrounding MS Dhoni’s future in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Samson expressed his desire that he wants the legend to play a little longer. The questions arises whether the upcoming IPL season will be Dhoni’s last is still unanswered.
“When Dhoni is playing in the IPL, people keep talking about when he is retiring; in my mind, I am like “thoda aur bhaiya”,Sanju Samson said.

MS Dhoni stepped away from international cricket six years ago but his retirement from Indian Premier League doesn’t seem to be on the horizon yet. The 43-year old legend made his final international appearance in June 2019. He also captained India and led the team towards a win in 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, 2011 Cricket World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. MS Dhoni has continued playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL and was retained by the franchise last year.

Recently, MS Dhoni shared his approach to the game and is centered around enjoying the game like a “child”. He also reflected on his time as a India player and emphasized that his primary focus has always been giving his best for the country and everything else in the backseat. He also offered the younger players a piece of advice and encouraged the, to recognize that what is truly beneficial for them and prioritize accordingly.
