The Indian Premier League has gained popularity over the years and has become extremely famous but one of the biggest positives is the upcoming of a new player in the Mega Auction from Italy. Thomas Jack Draca has put his name down for the IPL 2025 mega auction which scheduled to take place on November 24-25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Of the 1,574 players who have registered for the auction, 1,165 are Indians and 409 are overseas. The only Italian in the overseas category is a right-arm seamer.
Thomas Draca: The 1st Italian Player In IPL Mega Auction
A 24-year-old bowler, he has recently represented Brampton Wolves for Global T20 Canada 2024, he left quite a remark with his exceptional bowling skills. Draca topped the charts and was the joint second-highest wicket-taker as he bagged 11 wickets at an average of 10.63 with an economy of 6.88.

He took 3/18 in four overs against Surrey and helped his team defend the total of 198, going further they won the match by 59 runs. This performance is considered to be his personal best. He also registered excellent figures of 3/10 and 3/30 paving way for his team to finish second on points table.
Even though Brampton Wolves lost in the second qualifier against Toronto Nationals, Draca’s stellar performances did not go unnoticed by the cricketing world. His performances led to his recent signing by MI Emirates for the upcoming ILT20 in the UAE.

Thomas Draca showed his bowling prowess when he clean bowled both Kyle Mayers and Sunil Narine, he left them in complete disbelief. This showed his potential of becoming a lethal bowler as he put the Brampton Wolves in a very strong position.
Draca: A Promising Young Talent, Will He Go Big In Auction?
Draca made his international debut this year in June against Luxembourg where he put up a dazzling show with the figures of 2/15 in four overs in a 77-run win. Till now, in the four T20I appearances, Draca has taken eight wickets at an average of 8.50 and an economy of 4.25, and his best figures were 3/9 against Isle of Man.
In the IPL auction, Draca applied in the all-rounders’ category with a base price of INR 30 Lakh. The future will tell whether any IPL franchise will be taking any interest in this Italian cricketer, who has already gained popularity in the T20 circuit around the globe.
