With the IPL 2025 Mega Auction almost around the corner, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) would seek to solidify their side with those star-studded players who would be able to make a strong squad. The team has a history of star power but consistent failures at lifting the trophy; thus, the players who give stability, flair, and match-winning performances in crucial moments are required by the team. Recently RCB retained three players- Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal, now the franchise will be looking forward to make a balanced team which has a powerful batting and bowling lineup. Here’s a look at four players that can do wonders for RCB in IPL 2025.
Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin is most surely the most experienced as well as the most skilled player who spins for the world, and his IPL career is simply unbelievable. Being one of the masters with clever variations, guile, and cricketing acumen, Ashwin is likely to be an excellent asset to RCB’s bowling attack. While RCB has seen the odd injection of spin, Ashwin’s tactical head would give them an entirely different dimension up front with the opposition at his mercy, starting from the carom ball and the conventional off-spin.
IPL Career- Ashwin has 180 wickets in 212 matches with an economy of 7.12. He is among the top five wicket takers in the history of IPL.

Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal could be perhaps one of the most successful leg-spinners produced by the history of IPL and it would be a great signing for the RCB to target him once again in the 2025 auction. Chahal has been one of the key members of the bowling backbone for RCB before moving to the Rajasthan Royals so his return will give the additional required spin boost to the team. His leg-spin can turn the game, and the versatility of his bowling in powerplay and middle overs make him a handy player.
IPL Career- Yuzvendra Chahal has 201 wickets in 160 matches at an economy of 7.84. In 2023, he became the leading wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League.
KL Rahul
He has been one of the most consistent performers in the IPL, his solid technique and the ability to play both anchor and explosive roles make Rahul a must-have for RCB. Played for Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants in past seasons, Rahul has been a dependable top-order batter who can score big runs in the IPL. He has been very adaptable to T20 cricket; there are no apparent issues when it comes to pressure and consistency. RCB may find themselves badly in need of such assets to their batting line-up.
IPL Career- KL Rahul has scored 4683 runs in 132 matches at the strike rate of 134.60. He is the second player after Virat Kohli to have most centuries in IPL.
Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada is one of the world’s best fast bowling talents and would really give required firepower to RCB’s pace attack. Raw ability with pace, coupled with creating bounce and swing, makes him a nightmare for any batter across formats. Having played for Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in the previous seasons, Rabada had shown his talent in bowling at the death and under pressure situations and therefore he would be the perfect candidate as he can provide immense support to Yash Dayal in RCBs pace attack.
IPL Career- Rabada has picked 117 wickets in 80 matches at an economy of 8.48.

If RCB can manage to rope in these four players, then the team will get the right mix of experience, skill, and aggression to lift that elusive IPL trophy for the team in 2025. They’ll have proper balance in terms of batters and bowlers, and with a very strong leadership and guidance, RCB just may be the ticket to go all the way.
