The much-awaited IPL 2025 mega auction was held in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, where an aggregate of 577 players went under the hammer. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made some strategic moves, securing a total of 22 players over the course of the two-day event.
Among the key signings for the franchise were England’s versatile all-rounder, Liam Livingstone, who brings a wealth of power-hitting and handy bowling options to the team. Additionally, RCB bolstered their squad with the addition of Australian stars Josh Hazlewood, a proven pacer with experience in T20 cricket, and Tim David, a hard-hitting middle-order batter, known for his explosive batting skills in high-pressure situations.

But RCB’s choices have left fans divided, while some have called their picks as “poor” and thrashed the management for letting go key players like Mohammed Siraj and Will Jacks. Other fans have lauded it as the “Best” Auction over the years for picking players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Liam Livingstone.
Here are some of the fan reactions on RCB’s picks for IPL 2025.
Pathetic and poor team building as always from @RCBTweets they mess up at auction time and build a miserable spin attack and Indian batsman and vague foreigners and struggle for a proper 11. It's insulting for rcb fans to have such vague think tank and management.

Probably their best mega auction in years (maybe 2011 better)
Don’t know why most of their ex players and pundits are always harsh on them (Uthappa , Kaif etc) https://t.co/UnZIOuRH9t
KKR (+LSG) had the worst auction among all the teams.

Delhi killed it, Chennai (hitter short) and SRH did great, GT too but their middle order is bhagwan bharosey, RCB better than the usual, Punjab nobody cares, MI did well, RR okyish-onthefense. https://t.co/y21NQ5Occj
i just saw that Will Jacks has been bought by Mumbai Indians, i was thinking that @RCBTweets had saved the RTM card for Will, am not saying that RCB's auction went bad, good to see the new talent but trophy bhi to chahiye, However, ultimately I feel deeply for Siraj & Will 💔
