IPL 2025: Ravindra Jadeja Makes Grand Entry In CSK Camp After Winning Champions Trophy, Says ‘Jaddu Matlab…’

India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja landed in Chennai early on Tuesday as he starts preparation for the new IPL 2025 season. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) received their ace all-rounder in style, posting a video of his big arrival. In the video posted by Chennai Super Kings, Jadeja mimics a well-known scene from the film Pushpa, confidently stating, “Jaddu sirf naam nahi, Jaddu matlab brand,” giving his own twist to the iconic line.

Straight from India’s victorious ICC Champions Trophy tour in Dubai, Jadeja is now looking to redirect his attention to the much-awaited T20 league. After playing an important role in India’s title-clinching stint, he is going to report for CSK’s pre-season training camp, which has begun on February 20.

CSK Training Camp Underway At A New Venue

CSK’s practice sessions have been moved out of Chepauk Stadium to the CSK Academy. Many of the star players like MS Dhoni, R Ashwin, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Shivam Dube have already started their prep work, and Jadeja will now join them after his return.

Jadeja Shuts Down Retirement Rumors

Against rising speculation that Ravindra Jadeja, as well as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, may retire from ODIs after the Champions Trophy, just like they did from T20Is after the 2024 T20 World Cup, Jadeja brought an end to the speculations on social media. He put to rest the rumors categorically, putting out on Instagram, “No unnecessary rumours, thanks.”

While Rohit Sharma has also shot down retirement speculations, Virat Kohli remains to be heard on the issue of his future in the format.
