The 18th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to start from March 22, 2025 at the Eden Gardens with the first match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The tournament will feature 10 teams with the final being scheduled on May 25, 2025.

The IPL 2025 opening ceremony will take place on March 22 at 6:00 pm IST at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After the grand opening ceremony, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take place.

This year’s opening ceremony has a star-studded lineup consisting of top actors and singers. Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arijit Singh, Disha Patani, Shreya Ghoshal and Karan Aujla will be performing.
According to Hindustan Times, a source close to the organisers mentioned that several Bollywood stars, like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, are expected to attend the IPL 2025 opening ceremony.
