Gujarat Titans, a franchise that came in Indian Premier League in the year 2022 and won their maiden title in the very same year. Gujarat Titans won their title under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya but soon things took a turn and Hardik Pandya decided to part ways with GT and he got traded to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. Now as the Mega Auction is nearing for IPL 2025, Gujarat Titans has found the trio that is most likely to get retained.
The three players “Shubman, Rashid and Sai will be retained by the franchise,” said an IPL source in a PTI report

Shubman Gill
India’s rising batting talent Shubman Gill is going to be the first retention for the Gujarat Titans as the IPL mega auctions are scheduled to be held soon. The right-handed opening batsman was made captain of the Titans for IPL 2024 after Hardik Pandya’s return to the Mumbai Indians, and he is going to be retained at ₹18 crore. For Gujarat Titans Gill has score 1799 runs in 45 matches, this includes 4 centuries and 10 half centuries. Overall in his IPL career Gill has 3,216 runs in 103 matches.
Sai Sudharsan
According to PTI, apart from Gill, the franchise is most likely to retain the phenomenal left-handed batter Sai Sudharsan. Overall he has scored 1034 runs in 25 matches at an average of 47.00 this includes 1 century and 6 half-centuries.
Sudharsan is also likely to be retained after a notable season in which he made 527 runs in 12 matches, including one century. He has already played three ODIs and a T20 for the national team.

Rashid Khan
There was no surprise that Rashid Khan will be retained as he has an impressive record. In 2022, when the 26-year-old spinner had made his debut and grabbed 19 wickets, he grabbed 27 the following season. In this season, he got only 10 wickets from 12 matches at a rather average of 36.70.
Uncapped talents Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan will most likely form part of the retention plan. Gill has also been eyed as the possible future Indian cricket leadership and has taken his maiden game as Titans captain this season, managing to get through to an eighth-place finish out of ten.
