New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) skipper won the toss and opted bowl first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad against Punjab kings on Sunday, April 9.
SRH are struggling from the last two editions as they finished eight in the 2021 and 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Whereas, PBKS is high on confidence with their new make over, Shikhar Dhawan is leading the side form the front and it look new Punjab.

What did captains say?
After winning the toss, SRH captain Markram said, “We’ll bowl first. Looks like a good surface. The atmosphere has been pretty calm, hopefully we can get a win. Two new caps are Klaasen and Mayank Markande.”
Meanwhile, PBKS skipper Dhawan stated, “We wanted to bat first. We’d like to put a big total. We have a good team environment. We have a good mix of experience and youth. Short comes in for Bhanuka.”
