India’s Test Captain Shubman Gill Reacts After Seeing Devastating Punjab Floods, Says ‘We’ll Rise Up From…’

Amid this horrific situation, India's Test captain Shubman Gill took to social media and shared a heartfelt message extending his solidarity towards the ongoing situation.

Punjab is grappling yet another devastation as heavy rains have flooded many regions, rivers have swelled and normal life is left paralysed. With 12 out of 23 districts placed under red alert, all the authorities are on high alert with rescue teams trying their best to get the situation under control and prevent further disaster.

Amid this horrific situation, India’s Test captain Shubman Gill took to social media and shared a heartfelt message extending his solidarity towards the ongoing situation.

“Heartbroken to see my Punjab devastated by floods. Punjab will always be stronger than any adversity, and we’ll rise up from this. My prayers are with all affected families. Standing strong with my people,” Gill wrote on X

PM Modi has also reached out to Punjab’s chief minister Bhagwant Mann to take a stock of the worsening situation.

“Immediately after landing in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi called up Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to discuss the situation due to heavy rains and flooding in Punjab. He has assured him of all help and support to the state,” ANI reported, citing government sources

The rains have placed immense pressure on Punjab, villagers and volunteers have joined hands with the state agencies to safeguard the communities as the water rises uncontrollably.
