The India national cricket team has achieved a six wicket win over Prime Minister's XI being played at the Manuka Oval ground in Canberra.
Rohit Sharma’s Team India resumes their pink-ball practice match against the PM XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Sunday. Heavy rain on Saturday marred Day 1, so both teams agreed to abandon the four-day Test on Day 2 and compromise on a 50-over match. India’s last Pink-Ball Test in Australia will be remembered for a dramatic fold, with the team being bowled out for their lowest-ever Test total of 36 before claiming the series in 2020-21. Australia’s Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, who was an important contributor to that victory, will be missing from the Adelaide Test as he is suffering from a side strain.
Australia has strengthened their squad by adding pacers Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett who have been in good form in the Sheffield Shield, but all eyes will be on India’s captain Rohit Sharma and opener Shubman Gill, who is returning from a finger injury. Scott Boland, likely to feature in Adelaide, will also look to make an impression with the pink Kookaburra in Sunday’s practice match, looking to put pressure on the visitors ahead of the Test series.
