On Day 3 of the first Test in Perth, Jasprit Bumrah shone with the ball as India dominated the game, leaving Australia in deep trouble when play ended at the beginning of the final session. At stumps, the hosts were struggling at 12/3 while still needing a daunting 522 runs to win, with two full days of play remaining. Only one batter survived: Usman Khawaja (3*). Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne fell off consecutive deliveries to Bumrah. Mohammed Siraj followed the suit, dismissing Australia skipper Pat Cummins. Now, India need only seven more wickets for a commanding 1-0 series lead.
Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli brought up a memorable century, playing a key role in India’s declaration at 487/6. However, it was the young sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal who stole the show with a brilliant 161-run knock, putting India in an incredibly strong position.

A couple of wickets for India this morning as they march towards victory in Perth. Things probably haven't happened as quickly for the Aussies as you would've expected. Travis Head has played a really good counter-attacking knock on a pitch with variable bounce before the Lunch on day 4.

With an uppercut over the wicketkeeper Head was initially looking to get out of the way of this bumper. But makes a late decision to go for the ramp and gets it away over the keeper to bring up a really good fifty.

Bumrah has a few deliveries remaining in his spell as he prepares to bowl to the new batter, Steve Smith. He delivers on Smith's pads, and there's a loud shout for LBW! However, Smith is safe, and it turns out Bumrah had overstepped. Smith then drives the ball through the covers for three runs to get off the mark. Khawaja now faces the next delivery and flicks it behind square for a quick single.
