India’s hope to WTC was stuck on the result of a Test match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

As New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka on Monday by 2 wickets, India got a reason to smile. 

Now, if Sri Lanka wins their second test match, their WTC points will also fall behind India’s WTC points. 

Taking a 2-1 series lead against Australia in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy gave India a clinch to hold their spot in the World test Championship.
